___________
Who are you mom to?
Sofia – she does not want to be called 10 anymore, she is “almost 11”
Max – 9.5
Xander – 5.5
Maddux – 4
What do you remember about your very first FIT4MOM class before being on the team?
My first class was the FIT4MOM grand opening. I remember feeling nervous about attending a class and meeting new moms. It was the most welcoming, friendly, and fun workout of my life and I immediately signed up as a client. I remember feeling there is something magical about this experience.
What’s one of your favorite FIT4MOM moments?
It is extremely hard to pinpoint one favorite moment for me over the last 7 years. There are a collection of memories that pop into my mind when I think of FIT4MOM. A few of my favorite moments are: Joanna winning instructor of the year, COVID zoom meetups (this helped me maintain some sanity during quarantine), teaching an 80's themed barre class, helping Erica train as an instructor (she worked so hard and is an incredible instructor/friend), watching my kids “teach classes” while playing and copying exercises.
What’s a show, podcast, or book you’re obsessed with right now?
My all time favorite podcast is Armchair Expert with Dax Shephard and Monica Padman. I have been a long time Arm Cherry and love the open and honesty of the interviews.
You’re at your favorite coffee shop - what are you ordering?
A latte, nothing too sweet but loooove a good cup of coffee!
What’s something most people don’t know about FIT4MOM that you wish they did?
That FIT4MOM truly is for everyone. Instructors are trained to help clients be successful at all stages. I wish I had found F4M sooner. The community, support and focus on caring for ourselves is what I needed.
How do you stay motivated on days when you're feeling unmotivated?
I usually try to break things down into something super small as starting point. If I need to do something (workout/clean/organize/laundry), I mentally prepare to do at least 5 minutes because it feels less overwhelming. By the time I start, I usually end up motivated to get more done and feeling accomplished usually helps me to continue to feel motivated. I am all about taking small steps toward goals.
If you could only listen to one music genre for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oh no!!!! I don’t know if I can do only one genre but if I had to choose, I think I would choose 90's Hip Hop.
Favorite way to unwind after a day of momming?
A quiet space with a hot cup of coffee
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger, pre-mom self, what would it be?
Give yourself the love, time and grace you give to others!
