It’s time to introduce another member of the FIT4MOM dream team - Kirstie! 🎉
Before becoming an instructor back in February, Kirstie was a member! She took her first FIT4MOM class back in 2021 and never looked back! She’s taken every class and program that we offer since!
We love having Kirstie as part of the FIT4MOM fam and team! She brings the energy (and sweet playlist) to every class she teaches and makes us laugh the whole time.
No class with her this Thursday because of Halloween, but you can join her next week! 6PM at Good Shepherd.
___________
Who are you mom to?
Oliver (4) and Emmie (1). Also pups Hossa and Archie.
What do you remember about your very first FIT4MOM class before being on the team?
How hard it was, but also how encouraging JoAnna was and how accomplished I felt after - or I would have never came back!!
What’s one of your favorite FIT4MOM moments?
Oh man. It's hard to pick a favorite with all of themed classes and awesome mom nights out! I do think my Shrek themed class will always stand out in my memory, though.
What’s a show, podcast, or book you’re obsessed with right now?
I watch, listen to and read SO many things but I'm currently obsessed with the train wreck that is Love is Blind. I also wanted to talk about nothing other than Chimp Crazy for a few weeks.
You’re at your favorite coffee shop - what are you ordering?
Cold brew w/oat milk and cold foam. In the Fall I add pumpkin, otherwise I'm a mocha girly!
What’s something most people don’t know about FIT4MOM that you wish they did?
That it's SO MUCH MORE than just working out. Saying it's a community feels semi cliche? But it's extremely true. I'd be so lost without this village. I often hear moms say they wish they had more mom friends. Since finding FIT4MOM when my son was 7 months old, I've never had that problem!!!
How do you stay motivated on days when you're feeling unmotivated?
Remembering my why and that I'm a health goddess and fitness queen (nicknames I gave myself after crushing my first Body Well). The names are silly but they work! Coffee helps too.
If you could only listen to one music genre for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I'm a pop girly. Any decade, I just love a good upbeat jam.
Favorite way to unwind after a day of momming?
Laying in my bed and either watching a good show or reading a great book!
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger, pre-mom self, what would it be?
Sheeeesh! First, I'd say is to just decide you want to do something and then immediately do it. Don't plan it, don't prepare in anyway, just go! You won't get to do that anymore with kids and you'll miss it. Now you have to plan around meals and naps and pack so many things to leave the house.
But more seriously, I'd say that being a parent is everything and nothing that you think it'll be. It will absolutely knock you out and drain you sometimes, but you and your best is always absolutely enough for your kids.
Stay tuned for another team member spotlight next week!
