Hi there! It’s me, JoAnna - the owner of FIT4MOM Frankfort, main instructor for our child-free classes, Body Well Coach, & the person behind all of our social media!
Since I became the owner, our team has GROWN, so some introductions are needed! We’ll be showcasing a team member each week, so follow along to get to know the moms behind FIT4MOM Frankfort!

Who are you mom to?
I’m mom to Leo (8 years old), our pups - Mickey & Minnie, and cat - Peanut.
What do you remember about your very first FIT4MOM class before being on the team?
SO much. I can barely remember last week, but I’ll never forget my 1st class. I was NERVOUS. When one of the instructor’s introduced herself - she looked me in the eyes and asked me how I was doing. I chatted with a couple of other moms about our babies and mom life, but I was still pretty reserved and shy back then. (NOT ANYMORE) At the end of class, the same instructor from before, checked in & remembered my name. I hadn’t felt that seen since becoming a mom, and it was just what I needed. It was my first ever group workout class, and I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to do it. But I did and it was amazing. I left feeling so proud and knowing that I had found something really special.
What’s one of your favorite FIT4MOM moments?
Again SO many. We make memories every class, but I’ll take this one back to 2020 when I was named FIT4MOM HQ’s Instructor of the Year. We were still in quarantine and I missed seeing my people in real life SO much. They put on a car parade for me and surprised me BIG TIME. I'll forever cherish that memory because my mom was able to be a part of it. She passed away in 2021, but she was able to be there for the parade, even recording it while cheering me on.
What’s a show, podcast, or book you’re obsessed with right now?
Nobody Wants This! I watched the whole season in 1 day and I still can’t stop thinking about it. SO SO GOOD. Go watch it!
You’re at your favorite coffee shop - what are you ordering?
Hot or Iced (depending on weather) Dirty Chai with oat milk and some pumpkin. From Grounded of course.
What’s something most people don’t know about FIT4MOM that you wish they did?
That it’s truly for everyone! Moms of little babies, moms of adult children, moms of plants, moms of furbabies! We are for ALL women who want to work out with other women in a supportive, welcoming, and non-judgmental space. We're not just stroller workouts! PLUS, we give alllllllllll the exercise options, so that no matter if you’ve never ever worked out before or you’re an Olympic athlete - you’re going to get in a great workout that makes you feel good & proud!
How do you stay motivated on days when you're feeling unmotivated?
I put on my favorite workout clothes and shoes FIRST THING (the shoes are KEY to keep me moving), drench myself with my favorite essential oil, listen to some music, and remind myself that I know I’m going to feel better once I get started.
If you could only listen to one music genre for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I love so many types of music, but I have to go with 90’s alternative rock.
Favorite way to unwind after a day of momming?
HOT shower, comfy clothes, light 20 candles (kidding, kind of. The more candles the better), and watching a show/movie with my husband, Manny, in the living room.
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger, pre-mom self, what would it be?
“If it won’t matter in 5 years, don’t worry about it for more than 5 minutes.” I spent far too much time worrying about every single thing. I would also say, “JoAnna - please don’t get the short layers just because your friends have them. You have really curly hair and it’s not going to turn out well.”
