___________

Who are you mom to?

Isabella 16, Benji 11, and Liana 8

What do you remember about your very first FIT4MOM class before being on the team?

Wow! That was already 6.5 years ago! It seems like yesterday! I was so nervous to try my first class, which was Body Back (now Body Boost), but was really looking forward to it. After class, I couldn't walk for 4 days, but I knew I loved it, LOL! Sadly I broke my toe a day later and I couldn't return for awhile. Once I went back, I was hooked and motivated to motivate others.

What’s one of your favorite FIT4MOM moments?

I loved it when my 2 younger kids would come to class and stretch after with me, especially Liana who would come with me the most. Also, it always made me smile when she would cheer me on from the stroller.

What’s a show, podcast, or book you’re obsessed with right now?

I love Colleen Hoover books. I'm currently watching Squid Games, which I'm kinda unsure if I like it or not, but I can't stop watching it.

You’re at your favorite coffee shop - what are you ordering?

I love a good Chai, and make it DIRTY!

What’s something most people don’t know about FIT4MOM that you wish they did?

Most people don't know that when you come to a class, you're not just going to get a great workout. You're going to get so much more- a sense of belonging, a sense of yourself, group therapy lol, friends for yourself and for your kids, and most importantly- the motivation to take care of yourself and to not feel guilty about it!

How do you stay motivated on days when you're feeling unmotivated?

That's a big question! Depends on the circumstance...if I'm unmotivated to workout because I'm feeling lazy or mentally tired, I always tell myself "Erica, you know you'll regret not going." That does the trick! But...if I'm unmotivated because my body is physically feeling unmotivated, I listen to my body and trust my gut. If I'm unmotivated for life in general, that usually means I'm getting burnt-out. So, I give myself a day off at times to do nothing and tell myself it's ok to take a break, and not feel bad about it! Soon after, I find my motivation comes back.

If you could only listen to one music genre for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Definitely dance/electronic/hip hop, like a fun mix of it!

Favorite way to unwind after a day of momming?

Nothing feels better than sinking into my bed and mindlessly scrolling social media until I drop the phone on my face. I love the quiet of the night after everyone is asleep.

If you could give one piece of advice to your younger, pre-mom self, what would it be?

You have to take care of yourself first- mentally, emotionally, and physically and you shouldn't feel guilty about it. Putting your needs first is not selfish. You are human too.
